This year has been one of challenges and they come swiftly one after the other. I hope we're nearing the end of them, but I continue to worry. Someday, maybe I can leave stress behind, but for now, this is not the day.
I mourn the loss of my dog, and those of you with pets know how I feel. It's almost like the loss of a child, so close do you get to these animals who share your life. And for some reason, the world is now less bright and less friendly than it was when he was here.
I know it will get better with time, and I know life goes on, but some days....
So give your pets a scratch and a whisper and let them know you love them. And say a little prayer for my puppy, and for me being without him.
